A WEST Sussex rider has taken up the challenge to ride in Iceland on native horses for a week.
Hilary Jubert of Billingshurst leaves on August 24 and her trip will see her in a group of 20, riding for five to six hours a day over lava fields, rivers and beside the ocean.

They will take a herd of native Icelandic horses with them so that the horses ridden can be alternated and rested. They will stay in mountain cabins and hostels en route. The trip has been organised by the BHS Welfare Department to raise awareness of and funds for its work.
