Tina Cook called up for Beijing Olympics
Published Date:

WORTHING event rider Tina Cook, is in Beijing for the 2008 Olympics.
As reserve, she became a late call up for the British Olympic team following injury to horses of Zara Phillips and Lucy Wiegersma.
From Saturday to Tuesday she will compete on Mines's Frolic, a 10-year-old dark bay horse appropriately owned by Nicolas and Valda Embiricos and Sarah Pelham.
A comparatively young horse, Miner's Frolic had seemed earmarked as a certainty for the 2012 London Olympics, but impressed selectors enough for them to make the pair a reserve for 2008, taking into account Tina's vast experience.
