MORE than 50 jobs are being axed in Lancing at the end of this month following Interlink Fabrications Ltd announcing the cutting back of its southern branch.
Representatives from Kingspan Group PLC have been in talks with staff at Interlink South, Commerce Way, Lancing, about redundancy packages.
The firm manufactures rainscreens, gutters and louvres for buildings.
Of the 55 staff working at Lancing, just four will be kept on in sales roles.
Consultations on redundancy terms are due to go on until Friday, August 29.
In an announcement to employees on July 1, Kingspan had said it had decided to consider closing down its branch at Lancing and also the one at Crowborough, East Sussex, owing to poor profitability and because overheads were too high.
